With Windows 98, ME, XP or 2000, we can set up a network between desktops
without using a server. The features file/print sharing and Internet
Connection Sharing (ICS), a nifty feature that lets several computers share

radio frequencies to transmit information between the individual computers;

home phoneline networks, or provide a shared Internet connection.
